Archery is a National School Sport governed by the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP). Archery in Mississippi Schools (AIMS) is managed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks (MDWFP). Mississippi Youth Archery is now in over 500 schools and in over 50 counties with more than 80,000 students participating each year. Archery Teaches valuable life skills: Concentration, Confidence, Patience, Self-Discipline, Teamwork, Safety Awareness, Physical Fitness & much more.
Participants must be in 4th Grade ~ 12th Grade to Compete. Interested 3rd Graders may practice with the Team to gain experience and knowledge. The Archery program has been a part of Sacred Heart Catholic School Athletics since 2014. In the 2021-2022 season, 24 students participated and competed in multiple local meets and two state tournaments. The team placed 3rd at the AIMS South State Qualifier.
