SENIOR BOYS - the Balanced Man ScholarshipSigEp knows that the transition for graduating high school seniors to college can be tough, and the cost of college can create even more stress. We want to do our part to help. With college around the corner, we wanted to ensure you and the students you work with know that we have over $300,000 in scholarship opportunities at over 100 campuses nationwide. To qualify for the Balanced Man Scholarship, incoming students should submit an online application and enroll full-time at any of these institutions for the fall 2025 term (no essay required). Final deadlines vary by school, but the early application deadline for most scholarships is June 1, 2025. Applicants have no obligation to affiliate with or join SigEp to be eligible. This resource is intended to assist with college affordability while introducing students to campus life opportunities.

SENIORS - Michelle Lima Scholarship
Some notes:
*The scholarship is for a high school senior that will pursue a baccalaureate degree in the area of Journalism or Communications.
*Seniors that can apply are students from Our Lady Academy, Resurrection High School, Sacred Heart High School, St. Patrick and St. Stanislaus College
*Applicant must maintain a minimum of a 3.5 GPA during his/her high school years.
*Requirements: Applicant must write an essay on the topic included in the application.
Applications are due to our office by April 29, 2025.

JUNIOR MALES - Mississippi Boys State
MS American Legion Boys State is a week-long program for high school junior males that aims to provide them with the opportunity to learn about government and leadership through hands-on experience. The program involves creating a mock government, including the election of officials, legislative sessions, and court proceedings.

SENIORS - Financial Aid
Every year, students leave $3 Billion in money for college unclaimed simply because they do not file the FAFSA. Chances are good that your senior qualifies for money for college that you do not have to pay back! The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The 2024-2025 FAFSA application is now open. FAFSA ID's must be completed at least three days before logging into the FAFSA. The MS Office of Student Financial Aid has grants and scholarships that your student may qualify for by completing the MS Financial Aid Application. Please visit https://www.msfinancialaid.org/ Grant and Scholarship Programs for more information. If you choose to complete the FAFSA on your own when it opens in December, you may access the application at FAFSA.gov.
This year's seniors should apply using the 2025-2026 application which will open on December 1, 2024.
SENIORS & JUNIORS - The Citizens Bank Scholarship
For every “A” on a student’s report card, it qualifies them for a chance to win a scholarship! Each “A” earned allows a separate chance to enter a drawing to win $1,000 scholarship! The more “A’s” earned, the better the chances of winning! We will draw and announce a winner at the end of the school year and announce the winner the first week of June. The Citizens Bank will award a total of fourteen $1000 scholarships. Eligibility applies to high school juniors and seniors in each county we serve. It does have to be the current year’s report card, they cannot turn in report cards from previous years. The student does not have to bank with The Citizens Bank to qualify. To enter, all they have to do is bring a copy of their report card to a branch of The Citizens Bank or they can email me a copy of their report card directly to [email protected].
