Father Sylvester Greimel and the Sisters of Mercy founded Sacred Heart Catholic School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 1900. It is a comprehensive, coed, college-preparatory school. With an average annual enrollment of more than 650 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, our school is welcoming to all faiths and offers a solid foundation centered on individual growth, academic excellence, and community service.
Sacred Heart Catholic School is a part of the Diocese of Biloxi and is accredited by the Mississippi Department of Education. We are also members of the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA), holding more than 25 State Championship titles in sports.
